Friday, December 29 on 20/20:

Okay, then.

This is most certainly unhealthy. Too much watching you guys on this grand Internet of ours. Too much reading--your entire blog archives, I might add--and too much listening. Be very glad, OK Go. You are officially my Band To Obsess About of the year. I feel like I know every one of you, and if you visit my blog you will find even more of this pseudo-stalking talk.

Good luck in the real world, dears.

I feel the same too - more like I've been married to the band for a while so now I notice they're telling the same stories over and over - the bug Damian's grandfather named, Tim's Sea Breeze fixation, etc. But I keep checking for new news.

Am I obsessed as well? I'm quite a bit older than 12.

Please come to Sydney!

How my New Year's Eve went from lousy to splendid

So that was me last night, in the restaurant, not the lady from London but her friend. You thought SHE was the fan but it was really me who was struck dumb with your awesomeness and how the night which had started out so badly had suddenly gone so incredibly, miraculously right.

See, earlier that evening, my hotel clerk told me that the walk from the Four Seasons parking lot to the Fremont Street Experience was a bit of a walk, but not too bad so my friend and I just started walking. (on the taxi ride back - yes, we took a taxi, the cabbie told us we'd walked a little over EIGHT miles).

We got to the Experience just AFTER you had finished your set. My friend wanted a burger but I was feeling optimistic so I went inside anyways and realized I was exhausted, the band that was playing wasn't doing anything for me and no joy in finding OK Go, let alone seeing you.

I made a conscious decision to be positive, decided I'd had a lovely (albeit, a bit long) walk with my friend seeing the entire strip from one end to the other on foot, that the universe must have had other plans for me and I should just go back to the hotel and be happy.

So I go looking for my friend who I know has gotten a burger and LO, there you are. I didn't want to disturb you because you were eating and it looked like a private time -- but my friend is a fearless paparazzi (she won't mind my saying that - ha!) -- and you were ALL so incredibly gracious.

Who knew(!?) that the end of lousy New Year's Eve would end with me forgetting my sore feet and dancing and laughing for joy!!!

Thank you ever so much! May all the good that you give return to you ten-fold, yay even a hundred-fold. May this New Year be better to you than the last.

I was still really exhausted when I wrote the above - typos all over the place.

Hey, whoever is in charge here :)! I think your Internet contact system might be wonky as I tried to join the forums and sign up for the newsletter - then emailed for assistance. Three separate channels (newsletter, forums, email - using two completelyy different email addresses) and nary a confirmation or peep back.

I don't know how else to tell you this, so thought I'd try here. (Your ISP might have a bunk server and you won't even know - because the problem is in what you are NOT getting.)

i leave for two weeks and come back to.. no update? that sucks.

im gong to tell you about my okgo-filled trip.

first, after being delayed and missing connections, (never again will i fly american airlines.. they delayed us 24 hours, lost our luggage for days, the list goes on and on.) i was reading USAtoday or some newspaper like that, and by chance i looked at the back of the lifestyle or something section and.. there you are!
a picture of the HIGA video. something about internet sensations. anyway. i cut (well, ripped. i obviously didnt bring scissors on the airplane) the picture out. isnt it exciting to know that a picture of you guys came all the way from LA to miami to belize to dallas to san francisco.

anyway. on the flight home (i already told you on myspace) you were on the lame radio thing. and then i decorated the page with "OK GO"s all over it.
the guy called your song "here it goes", but whatever.

well shit, you cant embed a picture in here.
well theres the link instead?

anyway.

lalallalalala, bye, nicole.
