UK Edition, Chapter 3: Birthday Greetings
Hello from Leeds. Friday night saw the celebration of the birthday of one Damian Kulash, who has just turned 16! This year, he will be learning how to drive an automobile and getting ready for the SATs. Congratulations, Damian!

Merch-man extraordinaire Mike "Milosh" Clark has been sucking up British slang at the approximate rate of one word per day. Today's word: dodgey. Stay tuned for more!

Love,
Rusty

My British word of the day is "Cheers." I think it's funny when my british friend greets me with it. Have fun in the UK, and don't be too rowdy, it'll take away from Damian's study time ;)

I'm married to a dodgey Englishman!! English folks like to shorten normal words and make them all cutesy.....they say "brekkie" for "breakfast" and "bikkie" for "biscuit", which is actually the same thing as "cookie" in the US. It drives me nuts. One exception might be the word "snog" which sounds as gross as the thing it's describing. Unless it's with Christian Bale, then it's not gross.

My favorite English word of all time is "plonker".

Happy Birthday Damian!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Damian. You don't look a day over 16 ; )

I agree with the comment that it would be nice to hear something from Dan. He is sort of the dark horse of the band. But as long as Rusty keeps blogging, I am a happy fan. I log in every day to see if Rusty is gonna make me laugh. It never fails to make my day.

I also didn't know Tim was from Kalamazoo. Let's hear it for Michiganders! Can't wait 'til the next time you play your home turf, Tim. I'll be there with bells on! (Or whatever wierd shit you ask for in the audio blog.)

Love ya's!

Not to be random, but did anyone else see Ok GO! on Best Week Ever on VH1? They showed the "Million Ways" dance. I ran so fast into my living room I nearly slammed into a wall...

I second that. ;) I use the Brit word "nutter" ALL THE TIME. Ergo, Mike should use this word all the time, too. Just 'cause.

I hope Damian's having a fun time learning to drive! ;) Happy belated Birthday!

I read somewhere on the net that Damian "art directed" the web site and did the design for the cd cover. Is that true? If so, can you tell me what is the typeface used for the ok go logo on the web? It looks soo good.

cheers

Adrie
